A big step for my local paper

I live in a smaller Kansas town, very conservative and buttoned up.

Our local paper did a front page story on the changes to the WIC program, expanding food options for BFing moms. And there, on the front page, was a photo of a young mama sitting across the desk at a WIC consultation BFing her older baby while talking with the WIC rep. Not a HUGE thing, but a big step for our local paper, and just gives a really good message in general. Was happy to see it. baby steps.

As a former small-town Kansas girl, I completely get where you're coming from! That's fabulous! Please write a letter to the editor thanking them for including that photo and giving front-page coverage to breastfeeding.
