Follow-up Nutrition Clinic in SLC

Does anyone have any experience with the Follow-up Nutrition Clinic at Primary Children's Hospital?

Not with the follow up nutrition clinic, but I did have an appointment at the GI clinic which I was less than thrilled with. Not sure if that's the same thing or not. The problem with the GI clinic was that they made crazy recommendations- they told me I needed to cut back on my son's breastfeeding because he was in the 65%tile for weight and only in 3rd%tile for height. Then in the next breath, they told me I needed to be giving ds his miralax in 4 oz of juice twice a day- so on the one hand they were telling me less breastmilk, then telling me to give him double the recommended amount of juice! Crazyness. Anyway, being as mys on didn't have any severe GI problems, I won't be going back there again- we're going to try to keep things managed with our pediatrician.

Not sure if that helps or not, sorry!

I don't know if the GI clinic is the same or part of the Follow-Up Nutrition Clinic or not; the one my daughter's pediatrician referred us to is run by a Dr. Jackson. Your experience is the sort of thing I'm afraid of. My daughter is in the 65th percentile for height and below 0 for weight. I fear they will tell me to stop breastfeeding and give her Pediasure, or something like that, in which case we may as well skip it.

Thanks for your reply.
