Texas exemption

Hi! I live in Texas and my first daughter is about to start preschool. I sent in for an affadavit from this website: http://webds.dshs.state.tx.us/immco/affidavit.shtm. I also hand mailed a request bc I don't always trust internet things. The site said it would take two weeks but, ya never know. Anyone have experience with this in Texas? How long did it take? and please tell me if this was not the appropriate way to get an exemption or if there is a quicker way, bc I need it by the 24th of Aug. Thanks!

I had a patient who got hers in about a week. That was probably about 3 weeks ago. They're likely swamped with requests this time of year so it may take the full 2 weeks.

I requested mine (over the internet) and got it in about 4-5 days. (This was 8 weeks ago.)

thanks everyone! You made me feel better! I'm so impatient, and I've been worrying about it. It's only been a week though.

It was pretty quick for me, I did it back in the day when faxing was the best option to request an exemption. Took about a week, IIRC.
