Cure for the pp stinkies!!!!

I was reading the pp body thread and this seems to be a theme. I too got super stinky in the pits (hormones? milk production? not sure) but I found an amazing homemade cure--really this TOTALLY works:

Wash and then

-rub a bit of virgin coconut oil onto each pit
-dip fingers into baking soda and rub that into each pit as well.

This lasts for at least 12 hours for me. TRY IT. The great thing is that you don't have to confuse your baby with a bunch of synthetic fragrances, etc. as s/he enjoys nursing. I'm going to dump my $$$$$ natural deodorant and use this method from now on.

If anyone tries it, let me know if it works for you.

I've always had bad body odor, and the only thing that really works for me is baking soda. I haven't tried the coconut oil, but I imagine it would be good because sometimes I have to take a day off from the baking soda (I try to do this only when I'm not going anywhere! lol) as it can dry skin out in no time.
Anyway, yeah, I just pour some into my hand and dab it under my arms. Works well for me, and several other people I know with the same problem.

I actually mixed a 50/50 up of this and then poored it into a deodorant stick case that was empty, the kind you turn a knob to push up. Worked really well for months... just doesn't keep on the counter, has to be refrigerated which dh didn't mind. Works really well but won't do the job for days and days. I considered adding a few drops of some herbal astringent but never got around to trying that recipe.
