Hi, I thought I would post this in hope that someone knows someone who is in need of a roomie in St.Paul (sorry not mpls). I'm a 27 year old vegetarian mommy of 2 boys and I can't afford $600 bucks a month, who can? Do you need a place to live but nobody wants to live with you because of your kids? Me too. Life is rough, I need to get out of here though, daddy is a poopoo head, my kids deserve better. Let me know. I don't smoke, do drugs, yuck, nothing like that. I like colored hair and black clothes and tattoos, yummy.

shoot-there's is this national service that hooks up single mamas to be roomies, and now of course I can't remember the name. I think it's free, and you stay registered with them until you find someone you like. I'll look and see if i can find the ad I had for it. Good luck.

Hey, I just picked up a copy of Minnesota Parent and there is an article about the woman who started Co-abode.com. The site provides resources for single moms to find shared housing and to hook up with one another. Hope this helps!

Well, I'm posting an update and I have a new question.
I have given up on trying to find a roomie, nobody wants to live with 2 kids, so I'm looking for a place by myself. My question is, has anybody ever had to spend half of their income on rent alone and lived to tell the story? I'm trying to descide if I can make it.

I am trying to do the same, still looking for a place for me an ds, have to move in 2 weeks and am not having any luck, due to finances as well. Too bad we don't live in the same state. Good Luck!!!
