Favorite scene from the movie:
The little boy and girl, Ponyo, are in a boat. They come across another boat with a couple and their baby. Ponyo gives the mother a cup of soup, which the mother starts to drink. Ponyo gets a little mad and says that the soup was for the baby. The mother says something like, "Oh, he's too young to eat soup. He can only drink milk. But if I eat it, it will help me make more milk for him." And then the little boy says something like, "My mom used to make milk for me too!" It's really cute! =) |
SparklingGemini, it's a pretty gentle film but I could see how a 2 yr old might get bored, especially if she's not used to watching full-length movies. It's hard to say, though, it could be that the novelty of it would keep her interested.
My DS saw Spirited Away at 2.5 and it was his favorite movie for a long time (I know some people think it's scary, but we don't). He also liked Castle in the Sky around that same age. So it's possible your DD would love it. In your place I'd go for it and just sit on the aisle in case a break is needed.
