700 Club breastfeeding segment

Today on the 700 Club, they had a segment about a study that found that breastfeeding reduces the chance of getting breast cancer in women who have a family history by 49%. During the segment they showed clips of women breastfeeding. It was nice. They did mention, though, that the same study says that if a woman can't breastfeed, if she takes drugs to dry up her milk, it will reduce her chances of getting cancer by 40%. I had never heard that before....

That's really bizarre. I've never heard about the "drying up" drug. I thought they had discontinued use of that drug, due to excess risks of stroke or something.

I heard this story on my local news

I have heard of the drying up drug but thought they banned it in the USA or that the drug had to be prescribed off label.

Our news story had one clip of a brand new baby nursing and the rest were of bottle babies of all ages.

If there was a drug that reduced risk of breast cancer by 40%, they'd be marketing it as a "vaccine" and pushing us all to get it.

Did you know that 75% of vague statistics are totally bogus?

I'm the crazy one for not wanting to vax against chicken pox, but something that can reduce the risk of a life threatening cancer is brushed off.

But yay! for 700 Club- they're so conservative, I'm happy that they'd show bfing!
