Name that grain!

I put a few bags of grains in my freezer and the tags came off. No clue what they are. I know I had quinoa, ammaranth, and millet, but there could've been others!

Please help me figure out what is what. I THINK #4 is quinoa, and I think #2 and #3 are the same.

#3 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0th2009014.jpg

#4 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0th2009015.jpg

Thanks!

Amaranth and Millet are both tiny little balls. The main difference being that Amaranth is much smaller than millet. The amaranth in my cabinet - the grains are barely larger than poppy seeds - where the millet is several times that size, although still smaller than a peppercorn. The quinoa is not quite a sphere like the other two - it's a bit like a flattened sphere.

It's hard to tell from your pics. Cristeen is right. . .amaranth would be the smallest balls. Millet would be larger, and all mine seem to have a darker circle on them in a slight indentation. My quinoa looks a little more flat than the millet and does not have the darker circle.

#1 is millet, and #4 is quinoa. Don't know about 2 or 3.

I think:

#1 is amaranth
#2 and #3 are both millet
#4 is quinoa

I think #1 is amaranth. It's kind of hard to tell from your pics, but whichever is the smallest grain, that's the amaranth. Those are teeny-tiny.

#4 is quinoa.

Don't know what #2 and #3 are, but they look the same. Maybe that's the millet?
