new look to MDC or just me?

I was on about 2 hours ago and my page was normal looking- what I've been seeing for a year. Now i came back on and its all wonky looking- like really long and narrow. Was this something MDC did or my computer/server?

Squished-looking forums?

When I came to the forums today, I noticed everything is squished-looking in the center of the screen. Was this a change made recently? Is there a way to get back to the old style? It is much more difficult for me to see which subforum I want to select when they're all running into one another.

I don't know if that makes any sense.

Board not resizing to browser window

Did the site get updated last night? Usually the board resizes to the width of my browser window, but when I got up this morning it is no longer doing so. Now it's narrow and centered down my screen. I've tried reloading several times, but it's still doing it. Any ideas on how to make it stop? It's much too narrow for easy reading - if I wanted it that narrow I would read it on a laptop.

Are all the old forum skins toast?

I'm not such a fan of this one, but the one I usually use (blue) is no longer an option.

Oh no Where is my skin!!!

The title says it all. Where did my lavender skin go??????? My eyes! It's too bright!! And tan is ugly. Please bring it back!!!!!

Forum skins?

Were some of the forum skins removed? I'm not sure the name of the skin I used to use (lavender maybe) but when I logged in today it was gone. I tried to change it back but my only other option was tan, which isn't great but better than the default.

MDC looks funny!

I've been using the lavendar "skin" since I joined MDC. Things just look wrong any other way!

I hope this "MDC tan" as the only option is temporary!

holy shrinking screen, batman!

I haven't messed with any settings, I'm logged in correctly, and all of a sudden the screen seems to have shrunk by half! It really affects readability. Is there any way to get it back to where it was?

Is this a temporary update thing? or will we get our choices back? Things are a little narrow around here.

We use Firefox @ home and with an Add-On called "AdBlocker Plus" we are able to remove specific elements we don't like. The program is intended to strip out annoying advertising banners and such (which works extremely well), but it also allows you to hand-select other sections/items on a page that you don't need to see.

So now the whole banner is gone, and so is the "Notices" section as well as the entire left-hand column. It almost looks like a normal website again.

I actually like the narrow screen. It fits on my iPhone a lot better. And I've always had it on tan, anything else looks odd to me

I totally want more color choices. I've had lavender for eons, but anything else would be better than just tan or blue.

On another note.... don't you just LOVE AdBlocker???? I can't stand looking at DH's computer because he refuses to use Firefox, so he can't use AdBlocker. I'm so spoiled to not getting ads now, it just bugs me that he's "too old for new tricks," as he puts it.

I actually kind of like the narrower page, even with my widescreen laptop, but apparently I'm in the minority on that.

I don't care about the loss of the colors, but everything is so constrained, the page does not scale with the browser window. Of course, I could just make my browser window smaller. I have huge gray bars of empty space on either side, but when I scale the browser window to that, it looks fine.

I zoomed in (command + on my mac) which increased text size and decreased those grey sidebars. Much, much better.

If you have a mouse that has a scroll wheel if you hold down the Ctr button and move the wheel you can zoom in eliminating the gray bars on the side.

I really do miss the blue scheme though. Hope they styles are back soon!
