Just got invited to participate in a swine flu study.

I don't know how they got my info (probably a doctor's office or something), but I got an email invitation today to enroll DS in a study where he'll either get a placebo or one of two different size doses of the H1N1 vax. Each would be two doses, three weeks apart.

I can't believe they're starting to test this on children. Not only that, the fact that they have two different sizes means they don't even know how much they need to give a kid to be "effective." I'm sure we won't hear anything about the bad outcomes from these studies either. : Poor kids.

Where did you put the invitation??

Perhaps you could use it to line the cat box (if youhave cats) or to pick up dog poo (if you have dogs)

I think it's really sad that any parent would sign their child up for an experiment like that. Sign yourself up, sure, but a child has no way to give informed consent. It's not fair that this is happening to them.
