chickpeas soaking for 6 days?!?

I was cleaning out the fridge and discovered chickpeas that I think have been soaking since last Thursday. They smell fine. They have been covered in wate in the fridge the whole time. Can I still cook them?

I would. Especially in the back they have not had a bunch of temp variation. I'd say you still good. Just give them a good rinse and cook up.

IDK, they're probably safe. I mean, it's too cold for them to ferment right?

Cook them and if they're squirrely toss them.

Thanks! They've been cooked and eaten by one and all, so here's hoping we're in the clear!
