Need advice?... Could this be low blood sugar?

I'm starting to think there's something wrong beyond the just normal pregnancy hunger. I woke up this morning, had my breakfast, went back to nap because I have to work until really late tonight, and got up.. When I woke up and tried to shower I almost passed out in the shower, I've had a headache since and got the shakes while I was waiting very impatiently for food.. Ugh Has anybody heard of anything like this or am I over reacting to something normal?

I'm a type one diabetic my lows aften feel like that. personally i get this flushed very anxious feeling over me i can feel super cold yet sweaty think feverish feeling.. I'll have an overwhelming desire to eat and depending on how low i could eat sawdust and pencil shavings trying to sastify the hunger.. I don't get the shakes much but that is a classic sign i just get really dizzy and headaches are often around. blinding migraines at times.

I have to be very diligent about eating enough because when I get low blood sugar I feel terrible. My heart pounds, I feel nauseous, get a headache, very irritable, jittery - I just feel awful.

However, the passing out could also be related to blood volume increase.

So I don't know for sure, but I do know that low blood sugar can definitely be very severe. I always keep a hard candy handy to suck on if I can't get food right away. My blood sugar can crash unexpectedly, and sucking on a hard candy will prevent that until I can get food.

Also, B6 really helps with stabilizing blood sugar, and when I'm taking it I don't have quite such problems, though I still have to be careful to eat regularly.

plus eating and going to sleep is bad for your blood sugar. so it could have been just a one time deal where you were tired, with wonky blood sugar, and a hot shower making you dizzier.

I have to eat right before I go to bed or I can't sleep due to low blood sugar (or I wake up a few hours after falling asleep due to it). I usually have a yogurt right before bed, and that really helps me stay asleep and even feel better in the morning. The trick is to get something slowly digested, like something that is high in protein (the yogurt I eat has 13 grams).

I almost passed out my last pregnancy. The best thing you can do is lie down on the floor with your knees up to get blood to your brain.

I THINK this is not uncommon during pregnancy as your body adjusts to the larger blood volume, but I'd definitely mention it to your health care provider.

This has happened to me. In my experience, since I have hypoglycemia, I get lightheaded easily if I don't have sugars to digest. I am very sick with m/s but I am also starving all the time and trying really hard to eat small frequent meals. Do you have bad m/s?

Not enough water, not enough protein, and/or not enough sugar can cause frequent dizziness, but sometimes when you're sick you just can't get all the stuff you need to help your body feel better.. hence the being sick part. You probably already talked to your OB about this, so I hope you can figure something out.

I know someone who was ill and passed out in the shower after waking up because the water was too hot, and their body was not well enough to compensate for the temperature change. When you wake up, try to get out of bed slowly and wait to shower until you know your body is feeling well enough (if time permits).
