I'm getting the boys something from here for Christmas. They have some wedding things, too. Unique and coastal.

I'd do a nice bottle of wine and/or champagne with some glasses or a nice wine bottle opener. Something they are very likely to use right away (if they drink of course!)or at least when the holidays arrive.

wow you got some really great ideas here, I need to bookmark this for the next occasion we have to buy for

DH is at his sisters wedding right now.. We got her some really high thread count sheets off of ebay, new you can just search for egyptian cotton sheets i think they are 1500 tc,

This is the second time I've ordered sheets like these through ebay and am very happy with them.

I think you can never have too many nice sheets, for guests or yourself or whatever. Although we have a few sets sitting int he closet haha

If you have old pics of them that could be nice to frame or maybe have a watercolor done, or do it on the computer and frame that. Another one of our favorite gifts is a calendar made of pics of us and family.

definitely something consumable! the best wedding gifts we got were candles, wine/champagne/chocolate. we took them with us on our honeymoon and used them all. it was great to go back to our b&b after the beach and fancy dinners and submerse ourselves in decadence!

i would make a pretty basket/bag with:

a nice big beeswax candle - scented candles, imo, are too risky
really good organic, fair-trade chocolate - several bars, different kinds
2-3 bottles of wine/champagne - all different
bottle opener & cork saver & glasses

and if you feel comfortable enough, stash some kama sutra oils/gift set under the consumables - it's a *really* nice surprise!

eta: don't forget to throw in a lighter or matches too!

Oh yeah -- I like this alot --- for what its worth I'm getting married in 3 weeks (for the first time) and I'd be soooo happy to get this!

I like the sheet idea too. I could use some new sheets and I'd be happy with a neutral color (if you didn't know what they were into) can't go wrong with that.

I went to a wedding shower last month and got gardening supplies so they could garden together. I got 2 pairs of gloves (a "manly" pair and a girly pair with blue paisleys all over ), a trowel, a plant that they could transplant into the backyard, and instead of wrapping it all up I put it in a nice pot. Total cost was about $35.

If you sew, you could make a pretty apron and give that long with a nice baking mix, homemade jam, or something similar. Or you could buy a handmade apron on etsy.

Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions!!!!

I loved the engraved rock!!! I ordered one for them!

I really like the consumables idea. May still purchase a couple local goodies for them!

Loved the gardening gift ideas as well. Maybed I can get a couple of hand tools at a discount as summer is almost over.

I hope they love the rock as much as I do
