Adding a dog into our mix

After years of thinking about it, we are going to be adding a new dog to our family.
http://www.heritagehumanesociety.org/pages/Calista.html

We met with her yesterday and she is the sweetest, most mellow dog I have ever met. The profile says she is a Lhasa Apsos, but a worker at the shelter believes she is really a shih tzu, based on her temperament and her own experience as a shih tzu owner.

I'm really, really excited. And I'm really, really nervous.

I'm trying to find a crate for her, so she can have a safe spot and need to buy some other last minute things. Then tomorrow afternoon she is ours. :

my mother had a pure bred LA from the time he was 5 months, to I believe he was almost 20. Oh he was a great dog.
I can see where it would be hard to tell, usually they have long hair. you have to take them to get groomed once a month, but they are great if anyone has allergies, my mother is highly allergic to dander and she never had any problems.

how much does she weigh? I think LA tend to be a bit bigger than Shih tzu's
regardless shes lovely.

I don't know how much she weighs, she felt like she was under 20 though. Then again I have a 36lbs ds so that could be throwing me off.

When I bring her home tomorrow I will take more pics and maybe I can figure this out.

In the mean time, I am reading my books, old posts here and patiently waiting for noon tomorrow.
