Fuzzi Bunz on petite babies

I haven't posted or even visited here in a while because we haven't had any CD issues (thankfully!) But of course now I have run into a problem so here I am:

Months ago I bought some Fuzzi Bunz diapers when they were on sale and I've been waiting for DD to grow into them. I bought mediums which are supposed to fit 15 - 28 lbs. She is just about 16 lbs and they are leaking around the legs. She is a very petite baby (16 lbs at 10 months, 5th percentile) so I'm not sure if its a problem with the diaper or that she just doesn't fill out the legs enough.

Anyone else out there with petite babies have this problem with FB's? I really love them and want them to work but I don't know if they ever will!

I actually got fb b/c our dd is petite. The XS was good until she was about 8months or so. When we switched to S she would leak out the legs very frustrating! Now at 11months she still wears small though she can fit in the medium but I only have one. She's probably about 15lbs. I have heard the one size fits all fb are good. You could try inserting an extra pad or prefold -see if that helps. Good luck.

We had a problem with leaking in the FB with our chunky DD. We finally added a second insert into the pocket and haven't had a leak since! It's been 15 months of no leaks. We use one Medium/large insert and one small insert.

When I used the FB's with the insert, they leaked. My dd also was in the 5th percentile around that age. I now use them as a cover and put a prefold or something else absorbent inside. Kinda defeats the purpose of the design, but that's ok! I bought mine on sale, too!

FBs seem to run a little big, especially the newer ones. I would just wait for her to gain a few more pounds and try again. We haven't had many leaks with them, but they're last in our rotation after our BGs.

We used smalls until he was almost 2 I believe. The weight is just a guideline.
