So, I have #2 on the way in January. I'm not sure how much pumping I'm going to need to do, since I mostly stay at home now. I do have a part-time job, 4 hours a night, but I'm hoping that I may be able to bring the newbie with me when I come back (I run a police resource center for neighborhood kids). I don't think DH could handle a 3yo & a newborn by himself. He'd probably lose it.
I know for sure I want to switch to BPA free bottles for any occaision that may call for them. I currently have an Avent Isis and found it very useful & effective, always getting good results up until about 2 years into nursing, which doesn't matter anyway, b/c by then they can wait for it, kwim?
So, do you think I should spend the money to switch to a BPA free model? It only goes through the pump for a minimum of time, mostly it's the bottles I'm concerned with, and I'm not sure I'll be using it that much, what do you all think?

I think the BPA 'thing' is a little blown out of proportion. I wouldn't have the $$ to buy a new BPA free pump. From what I understand it was heating in plastic containers and extended storage where the plastic starts to break down. Not dribbling past.
