I am a Christian, though my closest friend is Jewish. When her daughter went through a period of rebellion against anything jewish (even showing up for special family events) we both prayed that she would return to her faith...and develop her own understanding.Faith has to be a personal choice. It just isn't something you can inherit, no matter what your family believe...someday you have to make it your own. Thankfully, my friend's daughter thought this through for herself and is now having a wonderful summer in Isreal...and decided family events aren't so bad afterall. If your friend's child truely wants to become a Christian, a good avenue to check out is the Messianic Jewish community...she will then take on an understanding of Jesus, within the Jewish context. One of the best courses to attend is something developed in England, called Alpha. It is a ten week (one night a week) course where you can openly learn about Christianity without pressure to convert. Blessings!
