I think we used Tide, but it has been a while. One of the main things with Fuzzi Bunz is to wash them in their own seperate load, never use fabric softener, and use less soap so it doesn't build up. A vinegar rinse helps prevent build up and is a natural fabric softener that doesn't interfere with the "flow through" properties of the fleece. NEVER wash them with cotton prefolds or they will pill like crazy.

I wash with Charlie's. We do all our laundry with Charlie's. I do all the diaper stuff together, fuzzi bunz, inserts, prefolds, covers, any clothes that have been "soiled"
We use half what we use for the regular laundry. I do one wash on cold with bac-out (double rinse) and then one wash on hot with 1/2 oz of Charlie's soap (double rinse). That's it. Sometime we hang dry, sometimes not. Really no problems. Maybe every 5th or 6th wash we do an extra cycle with nothing if the diapers were getting too stinky

The Fuzzibunz site says which detergent to use. I wouldn't use Tide due to enzymes and perfumes with the potential that they'll eventually leak.
I have used Allens, Country Save and Charlies. Recommend them all. Didn't have good luck with Nellie's as it didn't seem to get diapers clean.
Careful of using vinegar on FuzziBunz due to the possibility it could impact the elastic.

Almost all of DS's CDs are FBs. I do throw in prefolds and whatever other diaper laundry I may have. We have a very similar process, except I don't do two washes. I just do a cold soak, then hot wash with Charlie's, then double rinse. I dry all my dipes in the dryer and sun them if they have stains. About once every two weeks I wash all the FBs and inserts on our "Sanitize" cycle, then do rinses til there are no suds to make sure we avoid build up. Over two years and this process has worked great for us.

I currently use Charlie's on the Fuzzi Bunz that we have. I also wash the Gro Baby diapers in the same cycle and have a few BG and one HH that I throw in there as well. I don't worry too much about mixing and I haven't had any trouble so far (but I've only been using CD since May so maybe that'll come back and haunt me in the future). I do a cold rinse with no detergent, followed by a hot wash with Charlie's and a cold rinse. I throw them in the dryer for one cycle on low heat. If the inserts aren't all the way dry (and they usually are), I'll lay them out on the counter overnight.
thanks for all the responses. I only was fb w/ fb b/c that's what the directions say but then i was talking to a friend and she says she washing prefolds with them too.fbs are kind of an investment so I'd hate to ruin them but having 2 buckets for diapers is a space issue. I'll look around for the country save and charlies.
