DD is teething. She is coping quite well, chewing on everything in sight and drooling like a mastiff but not crying too much. I am not coping so well because chewing on "everything" includes me: she has started biting occasionally during nursing. Usually when she's dozing off or really distracted. Is there some good way to stop this? I've tried flicking her cheek with a finger, not hard, just to get her attention -- this makes her break off for a second and glare up at me, then she goes back to it (although she DOES stop biting at least for a little while). It isn't usually very hard, so it's not "unbearable" but I'd like her to learn that it's not OK to bite while they're still little nubbins, before she has real, big teeth to do some damage with.
Can anyone suggest something that might work permanently?
