Eagle Pack Holistic vs. California Natural...or another??

We were on Canidae but then they changed the formula, my rottie had a spinal stroke and the other had issues so we changes to Healthwise. Things got better but they got a dry mouth thing where it sounds like they have peanut butter in their mouths. So we changes to a local brand that was supposed to be good but then my lab started biting her nails, is getting gunk in her ears, and itching and the rottie isn't too fond of it (and the lab is eating more of the rotties poop). When they stayed with my mom they got half raw and half healthwise and came back not eating poop and doing better. But because we can't afford raw we switched to eagle pack. It's the holistic for large breeds. Is this a good one or is there something better?

For me, raw is cheaper than good kibbles....I pay mostly between 59 and 69 cents a pound from the local stores and butchers...just regular stock(and pretty soon am going to be getting it for 10 to 20 cents!). If you dont want to do raw, I personally would at least do grain free. There is a new one out there called Taste of the Wild (made by diamond) that is very low cost for a grain free food and many people are raving about it.

That being said, I have heard good things about eagle pack but done personally know anything about it.

I'm feeding both of my Golden's Core, which I believe may be a Wellness brand. It's grain free. I started it when one of the Golden's had hot spots, and she likes it . The other Golden is new (2 1/2 y/o), and had been eating junky kibble and table scraps before coming to me. I have him almost fully transitioned to Core, and he's doing well. Right now we're using the Core seafood because the smellier the food, the more attracted he is to it, and more likely to eat it!

I have heard good things about eagle Pack, but no experience.
