I have to brag on my DH...

DH is Air Force and works in the Finance office. Yesterday he texted me saying that there was a crying baby (I assume in the lobby area) and he wanted to go hold it. Apparently, the baby was crying out of hunger. One of his coworkers went out and came back in and the conversation went something like this: (she's an older lady by the way)

Her: That woman is just out there breastfeeding in the hallway! No cover or anything!
DH: Well, the baby was hungry. He has to eat.
Her: She doesn't have to sit there all exposed...
DH: I assume that's why she went in the hall. She's just feeding her child. There's nothing wrong with that.

We were talking about it last night and he told me he would have had no problem with her BFing in the lobby and it must have been her choice to go somewhere more quiet. (Honestly, I can't blame her. I've used BFing as an excuse to get off by myself before) I said, "It's the stigma that there's something wrong with NIP that keeps the BFing rates low. Women view it as inconvenient because they don't think there's anywhere to BF." He replied, "That's sad because it's actually MORE convenient."

I just think it's great that my husband is also a lactivist in this family.

Aww so sweet! My DH was asking a co worker once if his wife who was expecting was gonna BF. He explained how breast was best! Even offered up my services for advice and such:
He also speaks out on car seat safety, home birth, vaccinations or non vax I should say. I have to say it all makes me very very happy!
