Soft food idea

Thread Starter
My DD is going to remove 7 baby teeth next week. (It was scheduled for 8, but one fell out on its own, phew~) We are on special diet (no dairy, no gluten) but just looking for idea what to feed her after the extraction besides Ricecream, sorbet, apple sauce and juice.

Thanks!

Homemade soup. If even cooked veggies are too hard, I'd use an immersion blender and puree everything (or a food processor or blender).

In terms of getting full, have you tried the coconut milk ice creams? They are amazing, and if you're ok with coconut, but not some of the other ingredients (though the list of ingredients is quite short), you can make it at home. I'd think it has more fat than the rice-based ice creams and so it would help with hunger better.

I _think_ I've read of coconut-milk based puddings too, and again, it would help with feeling full. But I don't have a recipe.

But this is a rice pudding recipe that may be soft enough. Kathy's got a lot of allergens listed, so you can search by what you can/can't eat. Lots of gluten and dairy free stuff.

When I had my jaw broken, one of my favorite foods was browned ground beef and ketchup and mustard - like a hamburger. I know, it sounds nasty, but it was easy to get down, and gave me a good source of protein. To this day, I still crave it, much to dh's dismay.
