Can I share my find of the day???

I was out looking for wooden train track pieces for DS today at yard sales and came across this stroller. I have been drooling over Maclaren strollers since DS was born. Recently, his jogger died a cruel death, my Combi that I had found for cheap is also dying a slow death, my umbrella stroller is just too short and gives me back aches, and I also have a Graco monstrosity that takes up my entire trunk, doesn't handle well, and is fugly to boot.

Anyway, I asked them how much they wanted for it, totally out of curiosity and the owner said, "Well, the frame of the shade is a bit bent and the buckle is broken a little bit, so I don't think my wife wants all that much for it" The "bent" shade is not bent beyond not being perfectly symetrical anymore, still perfectly functional. The broken buckle works just fine for my 2.5 year old and costs $19 to replace including shipping according to Maclaren's website. I was expecting them to say $50 or so at the very least. He came back and said, "would you take it for $5?"

Guess who is weeding out all of her old crappy strollers in the next couple of days?? :

Yay! Awesome find!!! You're gonna love it. Maclarens are the best. We just replaced the Mac Techno XT that I traded (stupid, stupid idea!!) and my DH would cry if I told him how much you paid for your Techno Classic

If your old strollers are not in really bad shape, you might consider donating them to your local women's shelter. There are always moms who need gently-used baby stuff.

Awesome! I'm hoping to find some sweet scores when our local Kid 2 Kid shop has their $10 fill a bag sale this week. They also offer 10% off other non-clearance merchandise.

I did score this super sweet trampoline for DS off Craigslist for $20

He adores it! I was going to try to save it for potty training success or bday, but couldn't wait, it was so awesome! It plays all these cute songs including the olympic trumpet, he bounces and bounces!

Nice trampoline! I am searching for one for DS, as he is the most high energy kid to have ever wiggled on this planet. : I LOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEEEE the Maclaren! It is the smoothest stroller I have ever pushed, and the height is crazy high (I am very tall), so it almost feels funny to push a stroller that is the correct height.

I LOVE great deals! Oh, and I will definitely look into donating my old strollers to the shelter in town. My two joggers are really shot though. They literally have bent frames and dangerously ripped fabric. I wouldn't feel comfortable giving those two to anyone. Thanks for the great idea!
