Anyone have a way they freshen cloth diapers? Ours seems fresh but when they get wet sometimes they smell a bit musty. We wash in hot with usually Eco laundry soap. I would normally use vinegar or baking soda but get confused about what will ruin diapers.

freshening diapers

Do you have an energy efficient washing machine? They use less water and I notice they leave my diapers less than fresh. When I am using an energy efficient washing machine, I do a whole extra wash with no detergent and on the bulky or delicate cycle because they use more water. Also, use about 1/4 the recommended amount of detergent.. It does seem counterintuitive, but more detergent means more that must be rinsed out.
