Picking 5 books to take with you

I am moving for 3 years with a little over a suitcase per person and have decided to only take 5 books with me. I am having a hard time picking which books to take. I will probably leave all fiction books at home because there are English language libraries where I am going. I am also pregnant so I think 2 of the books are going to be childbirth books (Ina May Gaskin, Penny Simkin) but don't know what to do for the other 3.

What would you take with you?

1 Kindle? kidding, but it would solve this problem

Can you check the contents of the libraries before you go? And wouldn't they have non-fiction?

Definitely something for the trip to get there.

Any parenting books you always look to? First-aid reference?

I'd want a field guide to the birds of wherever I was going. Maybe some other books on the natural history, hiking opportunities, etc. of the area. Though that might be the kind of thing you'd just want to buy after you got there.

I might take a Bible and the Norton Anthology of Poetry.
