any other postpartum mamas having issues????

Hello all,

I was feeling pretty good and my bleeding was starting to slow down until my milk came in last night. I got a big gush of blood and my stitches are itchy!!! I am still having some back pain too.


I am just using the peri bottle with warm water for the stitches. Anyone using anything that would feel better with the peri bottle or sitz bath? Maybe I just need to slow down a bit, we had some people over, I was cleaning to get ready and running aroudn yesterday.

No suggestions. But commiseration...

I am waiting for test results to see what is going on with me. My Mastitis has cleared up from what I can tell, but I am having off and on heavy bleeding with some clotting, we aren't sure if there is a small piece of residual placenta in there. I also have a uti/kidney infection (not sure how bad it is yet). When I have to poop it doesn't feel comfortable and if my tummy has pressure on it I feel like I want to DIE.

I am totally with ya. I guess the itchiness is a good thing though, it means your stitches are doing their job and healing the tear?

Maybe cool witch hazel pads?
