Looking for Homebirth Midwife in Hickory, NC

Can anyone please recommend a midwife for homebirth. I live near Hickory, NC. I am currently 12 weeks and am getting concerned - that I haven't found one yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

You might want to ask in the "Finding Your Tribe" forums.

You usually aren't seen before 12 weeks anyway, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Check out http://www.nchomebirth.com/. There's a link there where you can fill out a form requesting that MWs get in touch with you. As you probably know, CPMs are illegal in NC right now (though that's about to change , so this is a good way for them to take the initiative.

Xanadumama - I have been to nchomebirth...I entered my info about 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. I'm still hoping someone will get in touch with me. I didn't know CPM's were illegal. That is crazy!!! I am new to this state, we've only lived here 3 months. I love this state so far, but the birthing options are terrible. Anyways, thanks for the advice.
