Project Runway starts THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!! - Page 2

I'm so happy with the winner and loser last night! The winning dress was AMAZING!!!!! It was time for the loser to go home.

spoiler if you have not watched yet....

Warning :: Spoiler Ahead! Highlight to read message!
I'm glad they are getting rid of the "out there" folks right away... I think in the past they were just kept on for drama and it was silly... maybe a good change with lifetime vs bravo?? b/c I definitely think those were producer decisions in the past

aslo I found it funny that Michael (?) said Ra'mon's dress looked like a bowling ball bag (which I didn't see at all till they showed it from the side at judging) & then Rebecca Romajn said the exact same thing!! - I thought it looked really good till they showed it on the runway. funny how they do that

Is there anywhere online to watch? We don't have cable, but I love the show.

Love that things are so the same on Lifetime, I wa afriad it would be all switched up!

I was amazed that Mitchel dodged the bullet twice! I was shocked enough when he Ari was offed before him. I really thought her outfit would have been cool if it had had irregular skirt pieces hanging off the halter top, kind of like what a previous winner (the throat tattoo guy in recovery? I'm bad with names)used to do. But Mitchel's wasn't even an entry really, it wasn't even sewn except the smocking at the collar.:

Then he sends a crappy outfit a 2nd time and still stays in? Shocking! Granted that I was partial to the "egg concept" outfit, not that it was commercially viable, but it did show some thought and wasn't just crazily thrown together without skill or art.

Hmm, guess I didn't know I felt so strongly about it!

I have loved a lot of the dresses and have been in agreement with the top 3 and winners both weeks. It was great when Heidi said the models were "heavily pregnant" those were quite the baby bumps the made the models wear!!

I totally agree! We are so annoyed that Mitchell stayed! The first week he basically sent out nothing, and last week the shorts were just horrible! I couldn't even believe they had anything positive to say about the outfit! Rebecca Romein's friends would go out in that?! Yeah right!

I thought he should have gone both weeks- the spacey woman at least had a specific idea that she was trying to get across, even if it looked sloppy, and Malvin, I thought at least had an interesting concept and worked hard on what he was doing- didn't just slap something together! I didn't think the egg / mother hen holding something precious concept was as weird and out there as they were saying! I'd wear that over those strange flare-y shorts!

I'm SO happy they sent home the person they did!
me too!!
Oh me too! I'm so glad it worked out the way it did. The person who won totally deserved the win.

That was a strange ending! I was baffled by those in the top and bottom. The ones they loved didn't stand out for me at all. The macrame top was nice that won, but several of the others were really outstanding and wearable and we get no comments about them at all! I'd love to hear what the judges think about those other designs that were "safe"!

So glad to see Mitchell go, though- he was so clueless and appeared to not care a bit. Confuses about their love for Ra'mon's neoprene outfit ????? It seemed like a wadded up piece of fabric with a splotch on it ??? Several of the other avant garde designs were really cool and got no mention, and that thrown together one was praised!

Yeah, I didn't like Ra'mon's ag dress at all, though I thought his casual look was very pretty. I think he could have made something cool out of the neoprene if he had had more time/help.

The judging did seem very odd. Some of the dresses that weren't top or bottom were really nice, and they didn't get any comments.

Tom & Lorenzo hated this challenge too

I personally think Mitchell has ADD - when I saw him standing there is the workroom lost I could see myself or my sons doing the same thing

I said EXACTLY the same thing to my husband while we were watching. It looked like he just couldn't focus on one thing long enough to accompish anything.

Mitchell reminds me so much of myself in any lab or studio environment. I went to design school and some days (most days) it was just impossible for me to gather my thoughts and focus on my work. Some days I was crawling out of my skin to get OUT of the lab and be anywhere else. I also have a problem of coming up with a really good concept or idea and not being able to follow through. I WISH someone had mentioned ADD to me at some point when I was in school because the more I read, the more familiar it sounds.

My favorite dress was the green and white patterened one by Zrystal and Epperson? So cute. Loved the back. They should take the half win that Mitchell didn't get and pass it over to whoever was responsible for that. I thought it was adorable and wearable and the back was really different.

I completely agree, and find this to be the one downfall of the show. They only give feedback to the their best and worst, and the rest are just background static for the week. I know they want drama for ratings, but a little less gripping and more attention to each designer's process and work would be so much more satisfying!

Project Rungay sometimes has extended judging or comments by Tim and it so much more in-depth and thoughtful than what we see in the end result. I really like to check them out because even though I'm really looking to be entertained, I feel like I also learn a little something.
