she could easily win, IMO. She's only been out of the top tier a couple times.
One of which was when the whole girls team lost.

And speaking of that challenge, who was disappointed with how it was judged?
It would've been a lot more interesting to being in the strongest 4 dishes from both sides, discuss, then announce which dish won. Then bring in the worst, etc. Would've kept everybody on their toes more.

She did. If she makes it all the way to the last couple of rounds she should do well in the Restaurant Wars. She can be tough and fair.

Mike is a jerk and therefore he will remain on the show for a while.

It's a sad sad day in the Monarch household. After going back and forth with our cable company (boo hiss!!) we are downgrading our channels and won't have Bravo anymore. Dang it! : (I'm so glad Project Runway moved to Lifetime, or I'd be super mad!) I guess I'll try to keep watching sometimes online, if I can, otherwise I'll just get updates from you all. :

So it was Preeti's time to go and also mine. :

I know, right?? What will we have to talk about? I'm just glad that the only channel I watch that is going away is Bravo, and now the only show I watch on Bravo is Top Chef, so...not that bad to save $40/month, right!? (it's crazy to me that they would seriously want me to pay $40 a month for Bravo!!!) I'll try to watch online so we can still thread-stalk each other!

Cute!

flminivanmama- guess what? For some strange reason I still get Bravo even though we're not supposed to be getting it! : No interruption in thread-stalking now.

Back to the thread at hand:

I sure hope tonight's episode is a little more exciting than the last few challenges.

I knew Hector was going as soon as he started talking about the people "back home"

Jesse seems to get teary eyed quite a bit. She got tears in her eyes anytime she was critiqued. It's a shame she had to go but she really lacked confidence in herself. I think she had potential actually.

I love the two brothers. I have a feeling they will make it to the final round. :

I thought Mattin would really shine in this episode. Goes to show even though it's the cuisine of your home it doesn't mean you'll do the best.

okay if I made a bet for top five right now I'd have to say - Jennifer, Michael & Bryan, Michael I (ugh), and Kevin...

Ron and Robin was a funny pairing - she's so hyper and he's so calm

I agree with this, including the ugh for Mike. Eli seems to be doing well too, I would have either him or Kevin.

I don't think Jesse sucks, but she didn't do very well when she was there. She seemed to be consistently in the bottom. The pressure must have gotten to her- I can't imagine what it would be like cooking under a setting like that.

i thought ron was freaking buddha. robin was like a hyper little dog you want to kick to make shut up!

i felt so bad for jesse. the men lose they get mad and blame the judges. the women lose and they think they are dog crap. it's so sad. jesse must be good if she made it on the show... but man she just couldn't pull it out... broke my heart.

mike is such an ass!!! BLAH...... at least he's not trying to seduce the lesbians...

I'm hoping the final five will be the two brothers, Kevin, Eli, and Jennifer.

Anyone but Michael I. He's so full of himself.

ITA about Jessie! She really wasn't that bad! Her ideas were good, there was always just a little issue with execution, and she usually realized exactly what it was. It seemed like it was just hard for her to work up to her potential under the stressful circumstances and she probably does great at home in her own restaurant. I hope she is not too devastated by this!

Jen is great, as are the brothers, and Kevin.

I just knew Mattin would not do well. Every time there is a challenge that someone normally specializes in, that person does the worst!

I'm surprised they did such a heavy duty challenge near the beginning!
