BackPack Style Baby Wearing Coat

Both baby and I prefer the back (as do my older kids so the attention is on them), but need a good coat that would work on my back and actually keep me warm in Virginia winters. Suse's Divine Ride http://www.alongfortheride.biz/Child...n-suse-div.htm , looks best, but doesn't appear to be that warm. Anything else out there, or will I just have to do layers and hope it's enough for all of us!
Oh and I do need to worry about being outside a lot since we are homeschooling and plan on many outdoor learning activities. Thank you!

Suse's kindercoat and the kindercoat delux are both awesome. I've worn ours icefishing in northern Saskatchewan! There are a few for sale right now on TBW. They are 3 in 1 jackets, really versatile, with lots of features. Happy shopping!

I second the rec for a Kindercoat Deluxe. I got one last winter and the only thing i regret is not buying one a lot sooner! it's got so many awesome features, not only is it three-in-one, but there are two different kinds of hoods to snap on (depending on whether you need just waterproof, or waterproof and warm) for both mama and baby.

we pretty much back carry exclusively, and i have found it very easy to get on and off by myself.

they do tend to run large, i usually wear a medium coat but a small is plenty roomy on me.
