Dumpster Divers?

Any dumpster divers out there? What have you scored recently?

I went tonight with a good friend and found a really nice brand new folding lounge beach chair, a new book of temporary tattoos (DS for Christmas!), a small shovel, a brand spanking new super clean horse back riding helmet (that i am giving to a "horsey" friend), a large lunch cooler, three shirts that I plan to make into pants for DS, and a bunch of small kids toys still new in their original packaging. Oh, and I nearly forgot, about 75 or so pounds of dog food, packages not ripped, not out of date, and not damaged in any way other than someone had cut out the UPC code from the back without cutting all the way through the bag.

Anyone?

Wow! Those are great scores! I am an aspiring dumpster diver, but it seems most of the dumpsters around here are sealed. They have a chute going from the store to the dumpster. Cr@p.

Good friends of DH live in an upscale Apt complex. They find little tikes items on a regular basis at the dumpsters along with 'baby' items... (swings, highchairs, walkers) etc. They take them, clean them up and sell them for almost retail.

Appalachia, that stinks! I was so shocked to learn at just how much perfectly usable stuff is tossed out. I was absolutely appalled that the dog food is just tossed, when the humane society right down the road is desperate for food for their animals. So sad.
