Bumgenius 3.0 pocket

Anybody out there cracked the pattern? I would love it. They are expensive in Canada (way too much for me) and won't ship from the states so I would love to take a crack at sewing them. I am thinking if I can't track down a pattern as a last resort I'll shell out the 30$ and buy one to tear appart but I would really like to avoid that.

Not to offend, but I would guess that it would be copyright infringement for anyone to give you the pattern that they made from the diaper.

My Dh actually encouraged me to do the same thing with a new style that I just came across, buy one and make the pattern. I am not sure I am willing to do that, because I can just look at a pic and make a pretty good pattern, as I have done before. And, really, I would rather just buy them already made. But, that is because everyone of my sewing machines are broke, except maybe my serger. So, that means buying another sewing machine. Ugh. Oh, and my laziness. LOL I like making them, but getting started is usually my problem. LOL Unfortunately, I can't figure out where to get the $500 it would take for me to buy the 24 I would need (and that is a small guestimate).

Maybe I can just talk to my rich aunt. LOL Yeah, right. Kymberli

No offence taken-I guess it is a matter of what you feel ok about. I would never copy a pattern from a WHAM but bumgenius is big business. I do not plan to sell the diapers- they are for personal use and if they sold the pattern or allow Canadians to buy from US (which they do not and is a crock of poo) I would gladly buy it. No matter what mine will not be exactly alike due to lack of talent as well as I would like to customize it for features I like so essencialy it will be a franken-genius.

Oh, I forgot about the Canada thing, and I agree, it is a crock. : I sold on Ebay a lot, and NEVER had a problem with selling to Canada.

I have done the same thing, customize those that are close to what I like, but not exactly. Like, I really like gussets, and now, I found a type that has adjustable snapping elastic for the legs to make it a ONE SIZE diaper. I thought to myself before running into those, why can't one use a draw string of sorts, but then you are talking possible choking hazard. Then, I saw those, and went "OHHHHH!! Why didn't I think of that?!" BUT, it doesn't have GUSSETS. LOL And, I like the elastic in further to make ruffles and keep the poo in. And, it isn't serged, and I MUCH prefer serged outsides. So, THAT is my frankenstein diaper this time.

Now, for a way to do them with only a serger. Kymberli

This free pattern is kinda similar to a BG -- it has snaps to adjust the rise. It uses FOE, but probably wouldn't be too hard to convert to turned and topstitched, if you prefer that. http://www.thenappynetwork.org.nz/im...MGussetFOE.pdf

I haven't used it yet, but am thinking about making some like this for the newbie.
