I know I've read this somewhere on here before, but I don't remember what all was said. My 11 month old's cloth diapers have an AWFUL ammonia stench the instant they are wet. No laundering changes and it is new in the past month. Help!

We had ammonia and mildew smell at the same time. I tried every stripping method known to woman and finally what worked was dunking them briefly (2-3 minutes) in boiling water with Calgon in it. I used about 1 cup for a big corn pot of water and put about 6 diapers in at a time. It worked instantly. Thank goodness because I was about to throw them all out, I know how frustrating it can be. Good luck!
