I am exhausted after a busy week. We won't be able to make it tonight. Enjoy the food for me.

With weather like this, I'm not sure how many people will be there! Andrew and I are still planning to try though!

I forgot that DH is on call this week! I hope you girls had a yummy time

OK Alison, I am going to try and come to your party! But I am buying 1 book! Only 1. No more than 1 ! I really mean it

Hi Krista,
Sorry you couldn't make it to dinner tonight. Don't worry though, I ate enough for both of us. Alison and her family, and Xian and her son joined us. We had a great time...but it would have been much better with your family there too. I think an "afternoon tea" (maybe at my house?) might be a better bet next time. The wee ones won't be so tired and there is lots for them to do. We're going to try and make it to the book party too. I started a new set of sprouts tonight to make sprout bread for Monday's playgroup. Dairy free, egg free, and gluten free food for Reece.

yup yup yup, going to vote, do my civic duty . It was a great time last night, even with vaguley psycho kids running amok. It would be great to have tea with you, LA. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!

Glad you all had a fun time! I will put that place on my list to try. LA you are so sweet to make the sprout bread for Monday

Hope to see you girls tomorrow!
I will see you guys on Monday. Andrew doesn't need gluten free egg free etc, etc, but he certainly seemed to like Kieran's cookies last night. And Kieran's trucks too! We did make it over to Woozles Leigh Ann, but you guys must have had to catch your bus already. Andrew had a blast with the trains, again, he's obsessed, I swear. He and I were up watching trains before 7 am this morning! So we were at the polls to vote not long after they opened!

Last night was fun, but I agree, afternoon might be better next time! And there wouldn't be any tomatoes for Callum to maul either!

OMG, I just figured out Christian's username! The X is just like in Xmas. I can't believe I just figured that out right now!

did anyone leave a navy blue fleece hooded jacket in the playroom? I have it. If you need it before next monday, I can get it to you. PM me if you don't have my number.

A good morning with the boys, and Ella. Lana and Ella, Alice and Thomas, Krista and Reece, Krista and Elias, Alison and Andrew, and newbies Sarah and Jamie : . The boys were full of beans ! It seemed like there were more than just 5 toddlers in the room. I hope to get some more girls at some point! Although Ella does seem to manage quite well, thank you very much. :LOL

I think it might be Jamie's jacket. I just emailed Sarah to see if it was.

My little hyper turkey lurkey promptly fell asleep in the car! Next Monday I'm going to completely fill up his belly before playgroup and see if that makes a difference!

Now to wash my floors : and put all the lego in the dishwasher!

Reece's sprout bread is on the kitchen counter, all wrapped and ready to go (where it has been since 8am). Sorry we didn't make it. Kieran was such a "bear" today that there was absolutely no way he was going to last until 1pm before having a nap. He was up at 5am and then slept from 10am until 1pm. If you're in our neighborhood, you could stop by and pick it up. Or, I'll just make another loaf for next week and we'll try again.

Hi everyone!

Sarah here (Jamie's mum). Yes indeed, I did leave Jamie's blue fleece hood at the playgroup, though I didn't realize it 'til tonight!

I definitely plan on coming back next week, so if Christian wants to bring it then, that would be great - I am not in a huge rush for it.

Thanks so much for making us so welcome - we had a great time! Jamie doesn't get to play with a big group of kids like that very often, and he was in heaven though being a bot more reserved than usual.

See you guys on Monday I hope!

Hi Sarah

So glad you found us! This is a really great group. Lots of friendly mamas I'm glad you and Jamie had a fun time at playgroup and plan on returning.

Mamabike, I wrote a response the other day, and it seems to have disappeared : Anyway, Thank you SO much for making the bread. That was very sweet! I'm sure Reece would have loved it. I don't think I will be in town this week. I am knitting tomorrow while my mom watches Reece And we have gym on Thurs. and a craft program on Fri.
I tried to fill him up with treats that he could eat (GF cookies and snack bar) but he ate those and then filled up on crackers etc. By the end of playgroup he was a spinning top So, I'll try filling him up with veggies or something for breakfast before we leave for playgroup next week!

Alison, I saw you asking about potties on the email group. Although I have one, I really don't like it. If other people are interested, maybe we could do a mini co-op and get a group order. If she can't give us a reduced price for several of them, we would be able to split shipping costs.

On that note, there is a Burt's Bees Coop that has just started on another Canadian email group. I took part last year, and the lady who runs it is a sweet heart. Again, if anyone is interested, let me know. It is nice to split shipping costs whenever possible.

krista,

i'd definitely be interested in a good pottie. i picked one up to introduce the concept, and it's so light callum just walks around with it, and tries to put it in the bathtub while i'm having a shower! not good. what kind are you thinking of ? can i look at it anywhere?

http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASI...400102-8630721

the address above should lead you to Feeding your Allergic Child on Amazon.ca. it's a super book, and has great kid friendly recipes. they have used ones for $4.50.

The one that was being discussed in the email was from Susie at the Extraordinarybabyshoppe. She hasn't posted them on her site yet but said she will be doing it today.

"One potty for $13, 2 potties for $24. I have them in
white and clear blue (kind of cool looking)."

Considering I paid over $30.00 for mine that is not user friendly, it sounds pretty good. I would like to especially see a picture of the clear one. Much easier to look in and see if baby has actually done anything

Thanks for the book suggestion. I will definitely take a peek.

I read last night suggestions for increasing his fat content (whole milk etc.) We had been pouring flax oil on top of all of our foods until recently. I started again today to see if that does anything for him. I'm crossing my fingers!

I tried putting flax oil on the cats' food once (supposedly helps their coats and skin), and they wouldn't go near the food once it was poured on!

Towards the end of my grandmother's life, she saw a nutritionist about increasing her fat content. She suggested adding some powdered milk to stuff as a way to add fat content. I assume that Reece can't have powdered dairy either? She had lots of other tips, none of which I can remember right now!
