freaking out & delirious

I'm 38 weeks, 2 days. I am soooo tired because I can never sleep. I pee every 10 minutes and now I have a lovely hemorrhoid (it's not the worst one, but it sucks!).
We moved into a new house a month ago, two hours away from home. And we're starting to discover that we have quite the bug problem. All kinds of bugs - phorid flies, fruit flies, cockroaches, earwigs. And now we have something living in our bed that is biting us and making us itchy! I'm thinking fleas (our kitties have been itching lately), but maybe bedbugs because apparently a huge amount of homes in this city are infested with bedbugs! I'm so frustrated and exhausted! I can't even sleep in bed because I get little bites all over me! I slept for 30 minutes last night and now I'm like delirious, but have to stay awake because my daughters are awake and DP is at work. I ordered some organic bug spray off Ebay, but it's gonna be awhile before it gets here and it's HOT AS HELL out now and we have no air conditioning, so I can't even wear a bunch of clothes and go to bed because then I'll sweat my ass off!
I'm seriously tempted to just get a hotel room and go sleep in the air condition with no itchy bity things at night. CRY!

That's all. Thanks for listening!

I'm sorry, that would drive me mad also! There was an article about bedbugs in the paper here a few weeks ago and it said they're pretty hard to get rid of. I think it said you even need an exterminator for them and the room needs to be quarantined (sp?) for 24 hours, stuff like that. I really hope you can get rid of whatever it is soon! I guess it means washing all the bedding at the highest temperature possible and all that stuff, things you don't want to do while sleep deprived and pregnant.
Good luck, and that hotel idea sounds good!

I, too love organic things, but to be honest with you, I would call an exterminator and get out of there. Think about having your baby in bed with you if the bug spray doesn't work? I would do it now before baby gets here.

Wow, thats terrible!! We live in the south and I'm just now getting used to bugs but bed bugs are another story. My brother in law had them and he had to have someone come out and spray. And he had to put his mattress and boxspring in plastic. They are hard to get rid of. Something like that would make me bonkers. Maybe having an exterminator come out and you spending a night or two in a nice, cool hotel would help?
Good luck!!!!
