does anyone have any tips on bathbombs/fizzies. we found tons of recipes online but they are all different and i dont want to spend a ton of money on all sorts of ingredients. we tried one recipe- baking soda, citric acid, e o's, salts, and witch hazel. did not work. the mixture didnt hold shapes. thanks a ton.

:: I've been looking at recipes, too. I was going to try one that was on notmartha.com, but I don't have any molds. Did you use a mold or just formed it with your hands?

we got a mold from the craft store. it was like sixty cents. it s one used for christmas ornaments and we also molded with our hands. neither worked. i dont know if the mixture was too wet but it just didnt hold well.

Are you wanting to use them as gifts or for yourself/immediate family?

I just use epsom salts directly in the bath or EOs directly in the bath or carrier oils directly after the bath/shower or sometimes (rarely) all three. It just depends...

well both gifts and for my kiddo! my mom has a really cool natural store she buys hers from but she can spend the kind of money she does on them. i cannot so...really wanted to find some bc my little one loves them.

Typically the reason your bath bombs won't hold together if they are too wet or too dry when you mix them. The recipe you have is the right ingredients its just learning the exact amount of witch hazel to dry ingredients.

I saw a segment on the local channel that once you mix the citric acid, baking soda and eo's you spray gently with jojoba oil (in a small little spray bottle) and mix with your hand until it holds a shape when you squeeze it with your hand. I don't know exactly texture but it seemed pretty dryish looking. Then you had to sqeeze the mold SO FLIPPING hard to make it really smash together.
