Where can you buy Mothering Magazine locally?

Okay, not sure if this is the right spot or not, but my MIL wants to know where to buy a copy of Mothering Magazine. I have a subscription, and I've seen it in Whole Foods before... where else do they carry them? (She lives in NYC if that at all helps).

You should be able to find it at bookstores or your local NFS

I don't look for magazines in book stores but the local NFS stopped carrying it years ago.

Mothering should be available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, Whole Foods and Babies R Us. Many independent book, natural foods and baby stores typically carry it, but I suggest people call first

Our Wild Oats stopped carrying it when Whole Foods bought it.

That is an issue with the individual store. If your WF isn't carrying it then you might ask them why. My WF wasn't getting theirs a lot due to an issue with their vendor. They get it now.

Or you can pm us which store and we can ask the Mothering office about it.

My WO closed when WF bought it.

Ours closed in April of 2008. Whole Foods then opened a bunch of stores on the West Side of Portland leaving nothing at all on the East Side. Thank you very much. Thats OK... we boycott Whole Foods here anyway. Without taking this thread way off topic... look into what they did to New Seasons in Portland.

I found ONE copy while standing at the checkout line at Sunflower Farmer's Market the other day. It was the first time I ran across it!

I've been wondering this myself .. I never noticed it at B&N but I'll have to look harder for it when I go back. Thanks for the thread!
