What's going on? Is this from breastfeeding? Could i be pregnant?

I've had regular 30/31 day cycles for 8 months. My periods are short, 3-4 days, and light. I always have eggwhite cervical mucus about 2 weeks later, and often have ovulation pains. I'm BFing my 27month old a few times each day and night.
My last period was July13-16. No ovulation signs when i expected them.

Aug 16-17 i had a bit of ewcm, it's drying up now... cervix is high and soft.... WTH?

So my period is late now.

Could breastfeeding delay ovulation by a few weeks? Even though it hasn't seemed to affect it for several months?

Could this be a pregnancy sign?

DH and i stopped using condoms last month, but have been pulling out.

Really hoping someone can share some wisdom with me we were planning to start TTC in October.

sounds like you had delayed ovulation. if you think you might be pg, i would test on sept 2-3, if you can wait that long! that would give you a 14-day or so luteal phase, so if you did in fact o on the 18-19th and conceived, a pg should show up + on sept 2-3. hth!

Thanks, that does help. I've never had a cycle where i've been late before, and after reading about delayed ovulation i can't figure why it would have happened this month.

I have all sorts of weird symptoms too... food aversions, sensitivity to smells, weird short bouts of nausea, headaches, strange pains that don't feel like cramps. Just like early pregnancy with DD.

I did HPT today and it was negative...

Figures my cycle would get out of whack just before TTC, just to make things interesting i guess

I am having the same problem-lol!

I have a 30 mo old who still nurses a about 4 times a day and 4 times at night.

Periods have been like clockwork for 3 months and then nothing! I was supposed to get AF on the 12th...nada. We BD on the 11th and 12th (and a whole bunch of times before then )...took an hpt on the 18th...BFN!

SO I am hoping I o'd on the 11th or so, and maybe that explains the BFN. I am going to test again on the 26th if AF hasn't shown her annoying self yet!

I have all the symptoms I have had with the other two as well. I guess we will see.

I'm in the same boat! AF was due 8/19, no show and all tests (one each morning plus an extra couple, LOL!) have all been BFN. I'm nursing my 2 1/2 year old and my periods have been pretty regular. In the last year, all have been 30 to 32 days apart, except one that was a week early, and one that was 5 days late. We are TTC, and we BD every other day through CD 13 through 23. I'm just waiting and waiting over here... I don't chart but had EWCM late, days 19 to 22 so. I'm wondering if I ovulated late? If my normal luteal phase is around 14 days, that would mean I my period would be due around CD 36, which would be Monday. Meh... This waiting stinks!

Well, my answer arrived today AF appeared, four days late. I think I'm going to start charting. I need more clear info about what the heck is going on!

AF still hasn't appeared for me, and I got another BFN today.

I did notice that my cervix is SHOW though, for like the fourth time this cycle...lol. I stopped charting about 2 weeks ago, because I thought I had o'd already-judging by my gradual temp spike. Ugh!

I dunno. Guess my body has just gone haywire! lol! Maybe I should read TCOYF again. I read it, but none of the things that are in it seem to work for me. Myabe just the inexperience. Anyway, I am rambling.
