FSA-day care

Hi Mamas,
Anyone had problems changing their Flexible Spending Account outside of open enrollment.
It clearly states in my DH's HR stuff that changing day care providers is a qualified change.
Now the only HR person (rare to even get one to answer emails) says that it can open be changed to add more.
I feel that is arbitrary, but have had problems before with his HR and having to "educate" them on their job.
Anybody BTDT or have suggestions.
TIA mamas!

hhmm...
Do you want to change daycare providers or who administers your FSA?

Ours is with paychexs, and if I have any questions I just contact them directly... I don't see why changing daycare providers should be an issue... it should be flexible, right?

sorry, I haven't had that issue as the only time we can change is a major life event and open enrollment. Pretty cool that changing providers qualifies -- pretty sucky that you have to educate them on their job. Glad you know the policies when someone who is perhaps new or unfamiliar does not.

Yes, that is the name.
I am hoping that I can get someone to help me there.
Take care.

Any luck?

I've always dealt directly with the company that administers my account if I have questions.

I've never done a mid-year change, but they've always been helpful with any questions (much more so than my HR department!).

Our FSA doesn't care who our daycare provider is, it only matters when we actually submit the reimbursement form.
