What a story! Crazy stuff! Congratulations!

Parts of it sounded really familiar. Especially the "It feels like I'm pushing!" Except I DID get in the car. I also had contractions for 11 hours before I suddenly hit transition but they were such timid contractions I didn't believe I was in labor. So, we have similar birth stories.

As for a homebirth- man, I really wanted one! But couldn't afford it and only found out late in my PG that our birth center was shutting down.

And part of DH's confusion was he was trying to figure out how to get the M/W to our house since I couldn't get into the car. Would have been so much simpler!
There is NO plan for a next time (phew!)- but if there were- I wouldn't go anywhere! No way.
