Home waterbirth on TLC's "A Baby Story"

I just watched a home waterbirth on "A Baby Story." I LOVE that TLC shows this as an option and paints it as a wonderful experience for the whole family. So much better than the "Freebirth" documentary that is a little condescending.
I wish there were more episodes like this!
...that's all...

I have stopped watching those shows b/c they are all so "typical" hospital deliveries, but that's awesome they showed another side!

Me too. I always get upset, so I immediately change the channel.
Great to hear they showed something different this time.

The producers contacted my MW to find some homebirthing families willing to be on the show. I think one of her clients is doing it. We turned it down for various reasons.

Hey, I saw it, too, just by chance. I have been avoiding that channel like the plague because everything seemed to be about crisis interventions and inductions. But I was flipping through and saw it. I proceeded with caution, though. I DVR'd it to keep since it was such a beautiful show.

I just had my home water birth 12 days ago and watching it flooded me with so much emotion (in a good way). I cried when that little one was born. She said something about how in the middle of labor she actually thought to herself, "I thought I'd actually be quiet in labor." I laughed so hard because I remember thinking the exact same thing when I was pushing : )

I wish there were more shows like that. It might help take away some of the negative assumptions made about homebirth. Ironically, the husband's mother in the show is a nurse - same thing in my situation. My DH's mother is a retired trauma nurse and it took her awhile to come around. She's so glad we stuck to our guns.

Glad a few others saw the show as well.

Does anyone know which episode number or title this is? I'd love to watch it, but we don't have cable, so I'd like to try and find it online.
