ds prefolds were ammonia laden and giving him an awful rash. after trying EVERYTHING i could naturally, and stripping them again, following some very helpful mdc moms advice, here is my new routine:
- rinse thoroughly and immediately every dipe when it becomes
wet/soiled
- place wet dipe in a bucket - do not soak in water though
-wash in fl every night with: 1/2 scoop tj's laundry powder, 2 squirts
bac-out on dipes, 2 squirts bac-out in bleach dispenser and 1 squirt
bac-out in fabric softener dispenser. wash on sanitary cycle with extra
rinses/stain cycle/prewash
- quick cycle cold wash in morning, then throw in dryer on high for 1 hour
no more stink or rashes!!!!!
