Searching threads beyond recent past

Hello-
I have been trying to figure out the following for several months of "dropping" by MDC since the recent changes/consolidation.

The most amazing thing for me about MDC, after the content itself, has always been the ability to do research on a particular topic. I would put in my search criteria and tons of great threads would pop up from as far back as 2005, I think. The wealth of information was fantastic.

Now when I search I see that any thread older than a year or six months (unsure which) has a lock on it ... I can't seem to open it to read it. Am I doing something wrong? Is there ANY way to access older threads? What a shame that these are "lost" ...

I would be willing to pay for a premium membership if I could have access to the older threads in a search ... is there a way to do that? It seems they still exist but that they are locked...

Thank you very much!

You should be able to open threads to read them. They cannot be posted to if they haven't had activity for more than six months.

If there is a need for an older thread to be opened so you can post to it, you can contact a moderator and they can assist you.
