One more Q...Waldorf Inspired Curriculum

Ok I got a packet from Oak Meadow today. I LOVED the samples and felt very comfortable with them. Sadly there is no way on Earth we could afford it.

I looked at A Little Garden Flower and from the samples I see the younger ages look ok but some of content of the stuff for older kids rubs me the wrong way because of my beliefs.

Is there anything out there that has a reasonable price tag that does not contain too much anthroposophy stuff?

Even if I found something I am still praying for the money to show up so who knows...LOL At least I would know what to pray for I guess

What year are you looking at? We have some Oak Meadow materials that I'd be willing to part with for cheap.

There is a used Waldorf curriculum yahoo group where folks post what they are in search of and folks sell things. If you search on yahoo groups you should be able to find the exact address. Perhaps you would be interested in checking there. Oak Meadow was created by two ex-Waldorf teachers and is not especially Waldorf for the Early Years in particular, but obviously if you like it and are inspired by it, then it speaks to you!
Have you visited the Christopherus website? Donna Simmons has a good book regarding Kindergarten for ages 3-6.

Marsha Johnson has a great Yahoo groups (waldorfhomeeducators@yahoogroups.com) list to join as well with plenty of FREE files regarding Kindergarten and all the grades in general...That may be of great help to you.
Take some time and meditate and pray about this and what really speaks to you before you spend lots of money.

Another place to start may be the book by Rahima Baldwin Dancy, "You Are Your Child's First Teacher" which many public libraries have or can get for you. That would be a good read to go ahead and see what really resonates with you.

Many blessings,
