Our beautiful Meadow is here, born on August 18th, 2009 -- 7 lbs 15 oz(2 oz above my guess), and 19.5 inches long. Arrived by emergency c-section after 28 hours of labor at home...I don't want to share too many details because I don't want to put any negative vibes out there for the mamas that haven't given birth yet...but basically by the time my MW suggested that I start trying to push, my body had zero energy left and I was begging to go in. I just couldn't go on....

So here I am, overjoyed with this precious newborn in my arms(who is a champion nurser already ) yet overcome with bouts of grief over the loss of my dream birth and repeat section. I'm just a mess...

I also had a major change in my birth plan so I know how sad it is to give that dream up. But seeing my little one's face happy and healthy sure helps some.
