Parents of Invention MT??

A friend is throwing a shower for me, and I'm registering at Babies R Us for simplicity. I already have a couple of carriers, but would kind of like a MT also, and I see that there is an online only Parents of Invention MT on the site. (Granted, people would have to buy online anyway, but I don't want the hassle of listing several places I'm registered - same reason I'm not registering for cloth diapers.)

Anyway, does anyone know anything about this MT? Is it decent or would it just be a waste of money that I'd prefer had been spent on something else? It's not very expensive, so that also makes me wonder....

Also, can anyone recommend a carrier from mainstream stores, like Babies R Us or Target (that my friends and family would feel most comfortable accessing)? Anything? I already have a Moby. I have some back and shoulder issues, so there are some styles I know won't be comfortable.

TIA

I don't recommend it. It's flimsy and small and won't be very supportive for very long.

I think you can set up an Amazon registry that will let you add products from any online store. That might be a good way to go.

Yeah, a good/comfortable carrier is worth every penny, otherwise you'll never end up using it. I would do some research on different brands before buying anything. Let people buy the other things you need and get the carrier yourself.

Thanks all! That's kind of what I was thinking, but I figured I'd throw it out there, just in case.

I do have an Amazon registry, but it's been more as my own personal wish/need list. It kind of lumps anything from other sites under the category of "universal," (rather than under "feeding," "diapering," "gear"...) so it's not very easy for others to search. Plus, my family and many friends are just not computer oriented...but it's worth a try.

I had this problem, too! I ended up just regestering for a nice jogging stroller for when my DD is a little older, and shelling out for a carrier myself. I have heard that a moby is great for a little baby. I had a little pocket sling from Target that I used for about 4 weeks. I'm glad that I had it for those 4 weeks. Now it is a little hard on my back, but it worked great for those first 4 weeks!

Honestly, my fav. carrier for my baby so far has been the 4.5 yards of crinkle cotton that I bought a Walmart for 6 bucks. (check out different ways to wrap on Youtube!)

Good Luck!
