s/o: What books (that you were supposed to love) did you hate? - Page 7

[QUOTE=Belle;14642467]The first book was okay. I hated Edward. Then I read the second book and hated Edward more. I really couldn't understand why Bella would go for a guy who abuses her and only likes her because she smells like a tasty snack when she's got a friend who really loves her, she enjoys being with, and has six pack abs. By the time I got to the forth book I was laughing hysterically at how rediculous it was. Then the author has to go and make the most likeable character (Jacob) a pedophile. ugh.

Okay, I don't have the time to go into this but "imprinting" is explained in either New Moon or Eclipse. One of Jacobs friends also "imprints" on a young girl and at first Bella is appalled but Jacob explains it is not like that and there is no sexual attraction what so ever.

Back to the OT
I am very disappointed with the Witch of Portobello. I became a huge fan of Paulo Coelho after reading the Alchemist, The Valkeries and Veronica Decides to die. I don't actually hate the Witch of Portobello, but it is not nearly as good as many of his other books.

I kind of liked the Twilight series - not well written really, but one of those things I had to read to find out what happened next.
So, then I read her other book The Host.
That was disappointing. Another 17 year old girl involved in a love triangle. Hmm.... does that author have any other story to tell?
I liked The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged and The Shack.
Hated Farenheit 451 and Animal Farm and A Clockwork Orange.

Yeah, I know that, but I had the same reaction as Bella. Its kind of repulsive and creepy. Kind of like Michael Jackson sleeping with 12 year old boys. I doubt that that man-child did anything wrong but its still creepy.
