He was the happiest, most wonderful baby

and I want him back I would wash his arms during his bath and he would smile and say Thank you Mama - now he screams because he doesn't want a bath (until he is in there ) and he splashes water all over the walls.

I used to snuggle him to sleep and he was a great sleeper. Now he's awake screaming through the night.

We used to go lots of places together. Now he makes getting ready to go out difficult.

He potty triained before he was two. He is now 3.5 and is on his um... at least 3rd regression. He refuses to pee until the last minute even though he is holding himself and wets his underwear before he goes to the toilet. And I have to go with him - no one else - even though we have practiced and practiced doing this on his own.

He and his older brother enjoy themselves the most when they are getting each other going by spitting at each other or talking about poop.

I am just so sad right now. I want my sweet little wonder back

Has there been some type of upset in his life that might be causing him to act out? Have you gone back to work, or moved? It sounds like he might be angry about something and does not know how to express it.

I have to tell you, 3.5 has not been super fun and the change was pretty sudden. It could very well be a phase thing and something that we just have to slog through to get to four. Everyone tells me it gets better. There are times I really hang on to that.

Three is HARD. Hard, hard, hard. I actually read the other day that the person who coined the term "terrible twos" was talking about it in reference to it leading up to the threes. I've been through it with one and am in the thick of it with my second child, and every mom I have talked to has pretty much universally agreed that three is tough.
