Bottle causing excess gas and frozen milk questions

Thread Starter
I leave DS with my mom while I work twice a week. We have been using Breastflow bottles, he takes it ok (so far no nipple confusion, but he does like his mama better! ) but they seem to cause a lot of gas. Can someone recommend another bottle that might not cause as much gas or is that just the nature of the beast?

Also, I seem to produce a pretty good amount of milk and have been able to leave my mom with 4 bottles twice a week as well as freezing some. What should I do with the frozen milk? As long as I can produce fresh, I don't want to use the frozen. I understand having a stash in the freezer in case of emergency, but it seems like I have been storing a lot and have never used any of it. And I also don't want to just throw it out.. it's good stuff!

Donate it! I donate my extra breastmilk to an adoptive mama who can't breastfeed her daughter. We found each other on Milkshare. Share the wealth!

If you've got a local hospital with a milk bank, you could also donate it there (it gets processed/concentrated along with other people's milk to be given to premature and sick babies who can't get milk from their mothers for whatever reason).

You might want to hang onto your stash, though. It's probably good to have just in case you got sick and either couldn't make enough milk or needed to go on medication for a few days.
