PET scan and breastfeeding - help!

Thread Starter
So I was originally under the impression that I would be able to breastfeed about 8 hours after I had my scan. They injected the radiotracer at around 2:30pm.
Well, they told me that I couldn't breastfeed for 24 hours, but I am allowed to hold my baby after 6 hours (can't hold him because I am radioactive).
I feel like 24 hours is really excessive. Anyone have any info on this? I don't want to go 24 hours without breastfeeding
